No topsoil is available for replacement. The intent is to remove the pile
down to the pre-existing soil topography. The historic soil surface will be ripped to one foot deep.
Amendments of lime, manure(to add organic matter)and the other soil amendments(P205 and/or KZO)
applications will be based on soil tests. Other than manure or similar organic material,no nitrogen will be
applied.
If the removal is not completed, the pile will essentially remain as it is,with minimal reclamation. The
estimated bond would be sufficient to reshape and lime the pile. Unless it is entirely removed down to the
original topography, it is doubtful anything would grow.
In addition, since one cannot say at what point in the removal operation the DRMS might have to assume
the reclamation, it is not practical to figure a regrading cost. We also cannot determine what would be the
worst case. We therefore assume the$9,860.00 bond would allow the DRMS to shape the remaining pile
and apply some level of lime.
1. Broadcast via ATV estimated at 3 hrs.,at$30/hour.
2. Actual amount to be based on soil tests.
3. Actual amount and which amendments needed,to be based on soil tests.
4. Estimate, actual amount to be based on seed costs at time of site reclamation.
RPNI,Inc.,25049 E.Alder Dr.,Aurora,CO 80016 Phone:(303)854-7499 Email:h1humphries2(a)comeast.net
