' annual and/or perennial vegetation on topsoil stockpiles will occur. Once the topsoil is stockpiled,it will
P g P P P P
' be left alone until the reclamation occurs at the end of the mining period. Following mining, the topsoil
will be relocated to the finalized slopes at a depth of 6-12 inches. To eliminate slippage zones between
deposited topsoil and textured spoil surfaces, topsoil will be replaced to assure stability.
' Reve etg ation
Following the replacement of topsoil, reseeding will be performed. The revegetation which will occur on
' site will be capable of self regeneration without continued dependence on irrigation, soil amendments, or
fertilizer. A native seed mix will be used to ensure this concept is fulfilled. Grass seed shall be planted in
' unfrozen soil between October I and April 30 using a grass drill or broadcast seeder. The plan for this site
is to use a variety of dryland grass seed. These include but are not limited to:
' • Western Wheatgrass
• Sideoats Grama
• Big Bluestem
• Blue Grama
• Indian Grass
0 Switchgrass
a Sand Dropseed
• Little Bluestem
' • Buffalo Grass
• Green Needle Grass
• Mountain Muhly
' These species are subject to change based on availability at the time revegetation will occur on site.
' Areas around the edge of the water surface are expected to establish marsh and aquatic plants themselves.
Species of plants anticipated to occur naturally along the shoreline include cattails, willows, cottonwoods,
and bulrushes. Ideally, these plants will minimize shoreline erosion potential. If no native species
establish naturally along the shoreline, additional planting may include willows,cotton-less cottonwood,
choke cherry, or other suitable vegetation.
' Buildings and Structures
There will be no buildings or structures left on site post mining.
Signs and Markers
All necessary signs and markets will be in place in accordance with the Rules and Regulations. These
' include:
• Entrance of mine site
' • Boundaries of affected area
Spills Reporting
' Tollgate Pit
DRMS 112 Permit Application
Page E-3
