November 6, 2018 C-2010-089/New Horizon North Mine BFB <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The field inspection for the SL-1 bond release took place at the location of the reclaimed monitoring wells. <br />The topsoil was not removed for the well installation or well removal. Some of the vegetation in a small area <br />around the reclaimed wells was damaged due to the well removal (photo 1). ERMR spread Seed Mix #3 over the <br />area. Seed Mix #3 is a mixture of perennial grasses and annual forbs designed for soil stabilization. There were <br />no questions or comments raised during the field inspection. <br /> <br />The sediment wattles along the reclaimed Pond 2 north ditch have been repaired and are in good condition (photo <br />2). <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> Mine entrance signs were in place at all entrances. The signs contained the required information. <br /> <br />The permit boundary markers were in place along the NH1 pond access road. <br /> <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br /> <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br /> <br />PHOTOGRAPHS <br /> Photo 1 – Area of Reclaimed Wells Photo 2 – Wattles Along the Reclaimed Ditch <br /> <br />
