PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS <br />Physiographic Features <br />~' <br />The landscape characteristics of this site is nearly level to <br />moderartely steep.' Degree of Slope ranges-from -0 -to 65$ with <br />the direction of slope not affecting the site. <br />Elevation ranges from 5500 to 7000 feet above sea level. • <br />2. Climatic Features <br />~' <br />Annual precipitation ranges between 12 to 15 inches, with about . <br />50$ coming as snow. <br />t <br />Tlie optimum growing season for native plants is April 15 to <br />lly 1. The average temperature of the growing~seasan averages <br />around 55° to 60° F. Shrubs, other <br />than big sage are gray horsebrush, low rabbitbrush, tall rabbit- <br />brush, and serviceberry.
