The mining slope was evaluated using Bishop's Method of Slices in the GALENA software. The
results showed that the lowest factor of safety that produced a slope failure circle was 2.7.
2. Conclusion
The mining slope analysis shows a failure at 1.0 factor of safety. This is below the minimum
factor of safety for a permanent slope (1.2). However,the failure circle did not extend beyond
the property line, and therefore there is no risk to neighboring structures.Additionally,the
mining slope is not a permanent slope, as reclamation is required by the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board permit. This reclaimed slope has a factor of safety of 2.7. more than
sufficient for permanent conditions.
Ben Langenfeld,P.E.
••::
JO
• •, ' a x11
o
0047151
It1i9'•11 14//rX0VQ
'i%►%SS'ONAIEN
CO License#0047151
Orchard Grove Slope Stability 2 x ercg l.ew c i and Associates,1.1.1A`
