The requested Technical Revision, number 04, (TR04) is to allow us to
discontinue sending monthly blasting reports to DRMS for blasting operations at the quarry. One
of our current mining permit conditions requires us to provide DRMS with monthly reports of
blasting activities. We understand that DRMS has not received complaints regarding blasting at
the Red Canyon Quarry since Martin Marietta has been operating that site. The requested change
is an effort to simplify paperwork for DRMS and Martin Marietta. Martin Marietta will continue
to have third-party monitoring of blasting events performed, notify designated neighbors as
previously agreed to, and we will continue to maintain blasting records, as required by law.
If you have questions about this response, please contact me at(720)245-6423 or e-mail at
david.bieber@martinmarietta.com.
Sincerely,
Martin Marietta Materials Inc.
David Bieber, Manager of Geology/Survey, Rocky Mountain Division
Attachments:
Request for Technical Revision Form
Check in the amount of$216.00
Martin Marietta
Rocky Mountain Division
1627 Cole Boulevard,Suite 200
Westminster,Colorado 80401
(720)245-6400
