(g) Clear Creek County prefers that water bars are not utilized since road is being engineered.
Feb. 23, 1998.
(h) Describe how much water will be used in conjunction with the operation
and source
• All water will be purchased from the City of Idaho Springs.
• Estimated amount of water utilized during mining operation is 4,800 gallons.
• Water trucked into location.
• Anticipate loss of 100 to 400 gallons of water per day during the crushing and shaker
table process due to evaporation plus dirt absorption of water.
Note: This is a closed circuit system. We do not anticipate any loss of water through
spillage.
• Additional water storage tanks up to 2,000—4,000 gallons on-site as needed.
• Due to winter temperatures water in storage containers/tanks could only remain on
property part of the year.
Note: The Federal Mill located in Adams County will process ore and there will be no need for
water usage for a crusher/wash plant at present time. Teton Drilling Inc. will keep the Colorado
Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety informed if there are any changes.
(i) No groundwater will be encountered except when receiving rainfall or
melting snow. All areas probable to runoff will be lined with:
1. Hay Bales See Exhibit E Map 1.
(j) Specify how you will comply with applicable Colorado water laws and
regulations governing injury to existing water rights.
• Water for closed circuit mining operation will be brought into operation and purchased
from City of Idaho Springs. Note: Ore sent to the Federal Mill in Adams County for
processing. Teton Drilling Inc. is not setting up the crusher / wash plant nor will require
purchased water from the City of Idaho Springs at present time. If there are any changes
to this process then Teton Drilling Inc. will notify the Colorado Division of Reclamation
Mining and Safety.
• Operation will not encounter any water except during rainfall and snow melt.
