First Aid Measures <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Eye : Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 to 20 minutes. <br />Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing <br />eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. <br /> <br />Skin : Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 <br />to 20 minutes. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, <br />then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Have <br />person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told <br />to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth if <br />unconscious. <br /> <br />Indication of Immediate Medical <br />Attention and Special Treatment <br />Needed <br />: There is no specific antidote if this product is ingested. Treat symptomatically. <br />Contains petroleum distillates, vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia. <br /> <br /> <br />5. Fire Fighting Measures <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Extinguishing Media : Use foam or water spray for large fires. For small fires, use dry chemical or <br />carbon dioxide. <br />Specific Hazards Arising from the <br />Chemical : May produce gases such as hydrogen chloride and oxides of carbon and <br />nitrogen under fire conditions. <br />Special Fire Fight Proc : Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. Dike area <br />to prevent runoff and contamination of water sources. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Accidental Release Measures <br /> <br /> <br /> Personal Precautions : Isolate hazard area. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering <br />the spill area. <br />Protective Equipment : Splashproof goggles or face shield, impervious gloves, impervious apron and <br />footwear. Wear NIOSH-approved air-purifying respirator with cartridges for <br />pesticides, if needed. Eyewash and emergency shower should be available in <br />work area. <br /> <br />Emergency Procedures : Prevent material from entering public sewer systems or any waterways. <br />Methods and Materials for <br />Containment and Cleanup : Absorb small spills using sand, vermiculite or other absorbent. Collect and place <br />contaminated material in an appropriate container for disposal. For large spills, <br />dike using absorbent or impervious material such as clay or sand. Recover and <br />contain as much free liquid as possible for reuse. Allow absorbed material to <br />solidify, then scrape up for disposal. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.
