MANAGEMENT <br />Bowie Resources, LLC, ("BRL") is in the process of reclaiming its Paonia unit <br />train loadout. Work required is the removal of all structures including the three <br />110 feet high by 70 feet in diameter concrete silos. Because the structures are <br />• adjacent to SN-133, the Division of Reclamation Mining & Safety asked BRL to <br />determine if the DOT requires any permit or approvals for the work. <br />The concrete silos wilt be razed with hydraulic shears suspended from a crane. <br />The steel structures will be torn down with hydraulic shears. The material <br />salvaged from the demolition project will be shipped via truck and rail. Traffic <br />generated by this project should not exceed five trucks and ten vehicles per day, <br />well below the threshold of existing permits 399055, 399056 & 399057 <br />(enclosed). <br />BRL has designed and planned its demolition work so there will be no impact to <br />SH-133 or its right-of-way. The silos are about 120-feet from the right-of-way <br />and the top of the silos are about 95 feet above the right-of-way. The silos could <br />tip over and not reach the right-of-way. Therefore, temporary traffic control will <br />not be necessary during demolition.
