<br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) proposes to reduce the inspection <br />frequency for the Southfield Mine permit no. C-1981-014 from an average of 12 inspections per year to <br />two complete inspections per year. The Southfield Mine was permitted by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. <br /> <br />The Southfield Mine is a revoked and forfeited coal mine located in Fremont County consisting of 1.45 <br />acres. The Division has found in writing that the Southfield Mine permit has been revoked and the <br />Division has forfeited the performance bond associated with the Southfield Mine. The Division has <br />determined that there are no conditions that exist on the remaining 1.45 acres associated with the <br />Southfield Mine which pose or have the potential to pose imminent dangers to the health or safety of the <br />public or significant harm to the environment. <br /> <br />The legal description for the Southfield Mine is: <br />Township 20 South, Range 69 West <br />Sections 19, 30, and 31 <br />Township 20 South, Range 70 West <br />Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26 <br />Township 19 South, Range 69 West <br />Sections 17 and 18 <br /> <br />Any person with an interest which is or may be adversely affected by this proposal may submit written <br />comments to the Division at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203. Such comments <br />must be submitted within 30 days of the publication of this notice.
