RULE 4 PERFORMANCE STANDARDS <br />�. Grounawater/Alluvial Grouncwater - Cc>o.Yyc currently has two <br />groundwater monitoring wells completed 4ithin Streeter Fill, one <br />al"uvial well completed in the Goodspring Creek alluvium up- <br />stream from Streeter Fill, and one alluvial well completed in the <br />Goodspring Creek alluvium at the base of Streeter Fill. CoIcwyo <br />will conduct monitoring and sampling of the above four wells and <br />will install, monitor, and sample an additional well adjacent to <br />Wilson Creek. The proposed well location is down gradient from <br />the Gossard Loadout and will be completed during the summer of <br />1983. Estimates indicate the free water zone will be at <br />seventeen feet. The proposed well location is snown on Water <br />'Monitoring Sites For Permit No. C-019-81 (Map 37) and proposed <br />well completion is shown in Figure 1. <br />In accordance with the Septemoer 22, 1982 "Proposed <br />Decision and Findings of Compliance For The Colewyo Coal Company <br />Colowyo Mine", all of the wells will be sampled quarterly as <br />listed below. <br />Quarterly Samplinq For: <br />d.—PMH <br />b. Water Level <br />Colowyo looks forward to continued ccoceration with M.L.R.a. and <br />will consult Frith M.L.R.D., after the first annual report is submitted, in <br />efforts both t: evaluate the applicability of all parameters chosen and <br />fre.uency of .monitoring in accorcance with the September 28, 1982 "Proposea <br />Dec'sion and Findings of Comp iance For The Colowyo Coal Company Colowyo <br />Mine"; and identify any peculiar site specific conciticns. <br />Upon receipt of the Divisions approva' of the net+ portions of the <br />above monitoring plans, Colowyo will implement the new provisions of the <br />pians.
