EXHIBIT G WATER INFORMATION
1. General
The site is in the upper alluvial terrace of the Eagle River. The river is roughly 700 feet to the
north at its closest. The site is currently rangeland.None of the site is within area floodplains.
The Oldcastle gravel pit known as the Gypsum Ranch Pit and US-6 are between the river and the
Tower Pit.
The two principal ways that the gravel pit could affect the water quality of the area downstream
are a)through poor sediment control within the site causing increased sedimentation
downstream, and b)by fuel leakage from a ruptured tank. Water that is encountered in the pit
will not be released from the site. The only water that will be found within the disturbed area is
stormwater runoff and water hauled to the mining area and used in processing and for dust
control. All water from the disturbed area will drain to the bermed active pit and cannot leave the
site. Fuel leakage is also not a problem since all fuel tanks on site will have secondary
containment as well as strict procedures for spill prevention and control.
According to searches on the Division of Water Resources database, there is one well within 600
feet of the mining pits of the Tower Pit. It is a well located on the Eagle County Regional Airport
property. This well (015023-F) reaches a depth of 92 feet, and thus will not be affected by
mining activities, since those stop at a depth of 60 feet. Additionally, there will be no
groundwater exposure as part of this operation, and therefore there is no dewatering on site.
Tower Pit X(.ek IcN cf and 1sxK Hti•.1'1,1
October 2018 G-1
