- Crusher and screener
- Stacking conveyors
- Office trailer
- Truck scale and scale house
- Asphalt plant
- Concrete batch plant
- Wash plant
No permanent structures will be built within the mining area. The control rooms, scale house,
truck scales and plants will be portable, although the scale will have a concrete foundation.
Maintenance vehicles will visit the site regularly to provide oil, grease, and perform other minor
maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Any major repair work required will be performed off
site.
All fuel tanks will have secondary containment and governed by and Spill Prevention
Containment and Control plan. All such tanks will be kept in a fuel farm in the facilities area.
Night time activity will be restricted to emergency maintenance of the site or equipment. Any
lighting needed for this activity will be minimal, and downcast. Security lighting on the office
trailer will be flush.
Portable toilets and bottled water will be provided for employees. All mining structures on site
are shown on Map C-2. Portable mining equipment such as loaders, dozers, trucks and
excavators will be serviced on an as-needed basis onsite. Upon reclamation, all portable
equipment will be removed from the site.
The entire site is surrounded by a perimeter fence and the permit boundary is marked with stakes
surveyed on site.No problems are expected with vandalism. It is extremely unlikely that any
toxic or acid-producing materials will be encountered during the mining operation since past
mining shows that the material is alluvial in nature. However, in the event that such materials
are encountered, they will be covered with overburden and topsoil from the stockpiles to the
same depths outlined in the reclamation plan and no more mining will occur in this area.
Tower Pit (11V—.11 and 1s K•iatc.,PI,1
October 2018 D-4
