ERC reviewed the Study Area and
determined that no wetlands/waters are present within the Study Area.
ERC identified and delineated two wetlands located immediately adjacent to the Study Area.
Neither Wetland A nor Wetland B is located within the Study Area. Although neither wetland is
located within the Study Area, both Wetland A and Wetland B are subject to jurisdiction under
the Clean Water Act due to their direct surface connection to the Arkansas River. The placement
of fill material or any general land disturbance within the mapped Waters of the US/Jurisdictional
wetland will require prior authorization from the USACE. The attached Wetland Delineation Map
dated August 31,2007,represents the delineated wetlands and waters adjacent to the Study Area.
The USACE has final authority over validation of exact jurisdictional wetland boundary location
established by consultants. Therefore ERC recommends that this report be submitted to the
USACE Southern Colorado Regulatory Office (200 South Santa Fe Avenue, Suite 301, Pueblo,
CO 81003)for written verification and jurisdictional determination prior to construction.
This report has been prepared by:
Ecological Resource Consultants,Inc.
Kristin A.
