The mine is a reclaimed underground <br />mine, with a passive water treatment system remaining. As such, no mine personnel remain at the site, nor are any <br />contacted prior to conducting inspections. <br /> <br />The weather was sunny, dry and mild. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Mine records are stored at the Garfield County Court house, Clerk and Recorder’s Office, in Glenwood <br />Springs. Availability of Records form is attached to this report. Of note. The updated Certificate of Insurance is <br />missing critical information. This document needs to be replaced to show the relevant information. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;; <br />Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; <br />Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Cattle were grazing around the pond area. A rough guess of the number of cattle would be 35 to 40, <br />though more may have been grazing in the trees ad not visible. Black, black with white faces, and brown cattle <br />were present. The cattle were concentrated around the Long pond, treatment ponds T-1 and T-2. Although water <br />was held in pond P-9, the cattle were not concentrated at this pond. All ponds, Long pond, T-1 and T-2 were <br />holing water. Inflow from the pipes was flowing into the Long Pond. Water in the Long Pond was clear. <br /> <br />Ditches at the site were intact and functional. Channels between the ponds were not inspected due top the <br />congregation of cattle. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The cable at the entrance road has been pulled down. A broken padlock hasp was found for a lock. Due <br />to the open cable, vehicle access onto the reclaimed property is possible. However, there was no sign that vehicles
