The inspection <br />was completed by Harry Ranney of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (the Division). o company <br />representative was present for the inspection. The weather was partly cloudy with a t emperature of 79 degrees F. <br />The ground conditions were dry. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Gro und Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> During the inspection, the Carey β€œpit” was observed to be dry. There did not appear to be any flow from <br />the French drain located at the South Portals. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Access roads throughout the mine site were in good repair. There were no erosional issues or concerns <br />with stability identified. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> A small parcel or reclaimed land associated with the conveyor corridor is located on the wes t side of <br />Interstate 70. A wild fire occurred in August 2018 adjacent to the reclaimed parcel. The aerial photography <br />confirms that the parcel of land was not damaged by the wildfire. The site was well vegetated and stable. There <br />were no indications of erosion. The reclaimed Borrow area was stable with no erosional features observed. The <br />site had well-established vegetation. The North Decline was well vegetated and stable. There were no erosional <br />features observed.
