TETRA TECH <br /> October 5, 2018 <br /> Board of County Commissioners: Gunnison County <br /> 200 East Virginia <br /> Suite#104 <br /> Gunnison,CO 81230 <br /> RE: NOTICE OF FILING APPLICATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO A COLORADO MINED <br /> LAND RECLAMATION PERMIT FOR REGULAR(112)CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS <br /> EXTRACTION OPERATION <br /> The Gallegos Corporation P.O. Box 821 Vail, CO 81658/(970) 926-3737(the"Applicant/Operator") <br /> has applied to amend a Regular(112)reclamation permit from the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br /> Board(the"Board")to revise the access road to the Conger Harvesting Area and increase the permit area. <br /> The access road corridor is located on private property and United States Forest Service(USFS) lands. <br /> The private property portion of the access road contains approximately 2.32 acres which increases the <br /> permit area to 25.65 acres from 23.33 acres. The portion of the access road on USFS lands is within the <br /> existing 112 permit boundary. The attached information notifies you of the location and nature of the <br /> proposed operation and will also be included in a Minor Impact Project Land Use Change application <br /> being submitted to Gunnison County Planning Department. The entire application is on file with the <br /> Division of Reclamation,Mining, and Safety(the"Division")and the Gunnison County Recorder. <br /> The applicant/operator proposes to reclaim the affected land on USFS lands to wildlife habitat for a post <br /> mining use. The portion on the access road on private land will be left in place per the access easement <br /> with the landowner. Pursuant to Section 34-32.5-116(4)(m), C.R.S.,the Board may confer with the local <br /> Conservation Districts before approving of the post-mining land use.
