EXHIBIT I SOILS INFORMATION
Gold-bearing gravels located in this area are primarily glacial in origin. These gravel deposits
are designated lateral and possibly terminal moraines along with glacial outwash left by the last
retreating glaciers and appear to be largely unchanged by subsequent erosion actions associated
with the Arkansas River.
A custom soil survey for the mining area is found in Appendix 1. The western half of the site
has not be surveyed by the NRCS to date; however, as the terrain and pre-law mine structures
are equivalent to the eastern half of the site, it may be assumed that similar soil conditions occur
throughout the entire site.
Box Creek Placer Mine Cm Ix.kis and Asmwmtm PLIA
September 2018 I-1
