October 9, 2018 <br /> Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety <br /> Attn: Mr. Peter Hays <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br /> Denver, Colorado 80016 <br /> Re: SEMA Construction, Inc.; the Betz Borrow Pit; File No. M-2018-048 Permit <br /> Response to the Office of the State Engineer <br /> Dear Mr. Hays, <br /> Attached are SEMA Construction, Incorporated, (SEMA) responses to the Office of the State <br /> Engineer comments: <br /> Item 1: <br /> SEMA understands it may not expose ground water during mining or after mining operations. <br /> This is a borrow pit and all material excavated from the site will be used for the CDOT roadway <br /> project. <br /> Item 2: <br /> Water for industrial use will be obtained from nearby municipal sources. <br /> Item 3: <br /> As stated above, we intend to obtain water for industrial use from nearby municipal sources. No <br /> on-site well water use is planned at this time.
