(DIVISION OF RECLAMATION <br /> Att: Lucas West WNINQ ANO WM <br /> Environmental Protection Specialist <br /> Subject: Safety berm and drainage mitigation Hobo 2 Mine. <br /> McFarland Enterprises, Inc., is seeking to mitigate drainage issues on the existing access road and pad <br /> area surrounding the portal. <br /> • McFarland Enterprises, Inc., is seeking to place two(2)eighteen(18)inch culvert and water bars <br /> as shown on Exhibit A in order to prevent undue erosion issues. <br /> • McFarland Enterprises, Inc., is seeking to build an eighteen(18) inch safety berm around the pad <br /> area surrounding the portal and install an eighteen(18)inch culvert for drainage of area as shown <br /> in Exhibit B <br /> The specific area has no significant data for the watershed drainage area or runoff characteristics and no <br /> data showing the results of a minimum storm event of 20 years or a 100-year event. <br /> The areas average annual precipitation is 26.46 inches of rainfall and 173 inches of snowfall. <br /> There is no specific hydrologic analysis for the area. <br /> Because of the sites topographic characteristic there is no anticipation amounts of debris or vegetation <br /> build up during spring run off or a weather event that would block inlet or outlet areas of culverts. <br /> Diameter Area Volume(per FT) Capacity <br /> inches (Sq.
