RULE 4 PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
This plan remains essentially unchanged except for the following changes:
6900 North Well - Streeter Fill -_During the summer of 1984, the shallow 6900 north
well collapsed. It was later determined that since this. well monitored only a small
perched zone within the fill, reestablishment of the well would not be necessary.
Refer to the 1984 Annual Report for additional details.
2. 6900 South Well - Streeter Fill - It was noted on March 21, 1986 that this piezometer
well had also collapsed. This well was reestablished in the fall of 1986. For further
details concerning this well, refer to the 1986 Annual Report.
3. New Upper Good Spring Creek Surface Water Monitoring Site This site replaced the
Upper Good Spring Site to allow for mine expansion. Monitoring shall utilize any
equipment, structures, devices or methods necessary to measure and sample
accurately the quality and quantity of surface water. Refer to Map IOB for site
location.
These commitments have satisfied the requirements of Stipulation 1 in the Findings
document.
4.05.14 Transfer of Wells
Colowyo does not plan to transfer any monitoring wells to water wells.
The 13 permitted and bonded wells (11 monitoring and 2 potable) include TC -1, TC -3, North
Goodspring Well, A-6 Well, A-3 Well, Gossard #1 Well, 5 Streeter Fill Wells (W6900S,
W6900N, W6700 and two collapsed piezometer wells), Section 16 Fill well, and the West Pit
Fill well.
4.05.15 Water Rights and Replacement
Colowyo, if necessary, will replace the water supply of any owner of interest in real estate who
obtains all or part of a supply of water for domestic, agricultural, industrial or other legitimate
use from an underground or surface source where the water supply has been affected by the
mining operation.
Colowyo does not anticipate that any water supply or water right of any owner of interest will be
affected by the mining operation. Detailed information on the Colowyo augmentation plan is set
forth in the Hydrology Information Exhibit (Exhibit 7).
4.05.16 Discharge of Water into an Underground Mine
No surface water will be diverted into any underground mine workings.
Rule 4 Performance Standards 4-23 Revision Date: 4/2/18
Revision No.: RN -07
