of JULEsau <br /> GATEWAY TO COLORADO Town of Julesburg <br /> 100 West 2nd Street Julesburg, CO 80737-1506 <br /> COLORADO Phone: (970) 474-3344 <br /> FAX: (970) 474-3345 <br /> ��.ttfel�80 <br /> August 20, 2018 <br /> INVITATION TO BID DIRT WORK FOR <br /> ROBERT JENKINS DEVELOPMENT FOR JENKINS STREET <br /> Phase 1 of 4 for Jenkins Development <br /> The Town of Julesburg, Colorado, is accepting bids for dirt work for Jenkins Street and <br /> two water quality ponds at the development area located by I-76 and Hwy 385. The street right <br /> of way area is 100 feet in width and 2,200 feet in length. The Contractor must meet all safety <br /> requirements and provide all necessary equipment for the dirt moving project. <br /> The Contractor shall invoice the Town for services rendered. Invoices will be approved <br /> and paid by the Town at their regular monthly meetings, which are held on the first Monday of <br /> each month (typically between the 4t1' and the 81" of each month). The Town will not provide <br /> advance invoice funding. <br /> The Contractor will furnish the Town with a beginning date after September 15, 2018 and <br /> an ending date for the dirt moving project. The Town will extend extra days for completion <br /> depending on weather conditions. The Town Manager will have final determination of any time <br /> extension. The Contractor will be charged $ 250.00 per day for each day the project is overdue, <br /> unless agreed upon in advance with the Town Manager. <br /> The bids must be received at the office of Town Hall, 100 West Second Street, Julesburg, <br /> CO 80737 no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018. All bids must include proof of <br /> current General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance with a minimum limit of <br /> $1,000,000 per occurrence. For additional details or in answer to any applicable questions, <br /> please contact Manager Coyne at (970) 474-3344. <br /> The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids submitted. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Equipment and resources to move, place and compact dirt material to create a street. <br /> Expect 20,000 to 25,000 cubic yards of material is necessary to sustain a street. A surveyor will <br /> be employed to set grade stakes for proper placement of material. <br /> The Contractor will be required to arrange with the landowner (Jay Goddard, 20245 CR <br /> 28, Julesburg CO 80737 or (970) 520-8477) about the area that the material will be removed <br /> from. The conversations between the Contractor and landowner will detail where, when and <br /> how much material from a designated area(s) of his property. <br /> County Road 28 will be crossed to gather and haul material.
