No representative of Bowie Reosurces
accompanied the inspection. The mine is a reclaimed underground mine. The weather was sunny and cool. The
are had received a light rain the precious day, but the site was dry at the time of the inspection.
FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18:
West Mine: A Red fox skull and remains were encountered within the West Mine reclamation.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
West Mine: Both Pond W-1 and W-2 were dry and well vegetated. Pond W-2 has a sizeable Willow and
4 small trees growing on the bottom of the pond. The willow needs to be cut down since it may interfere with the
function of primary spillway. The trees are not actually in the embankment so they should not be affecting the
function of the pond. Even after the previous day’s rain event, there was no water in either pond. There were
ATV tracks in Pond W-1. There was no damage to the pond, so this may have been from weed control efforts.

Silt fence on the southern extent of the reclaimed area has degraded and is falling down. If this silt fence is no
longer required by the permit, it should be removed. If it is necessary to control erosion, it will need to be
replaced.

Roatcap creek was not flowing either at the inlet to the culvert above to reclaimed area, or at the outlet below the
reclaimed area.

East Mine:

All ponds at the East mine have been reclaimed. Straw blankets on the reclaimed ponds are well anchored and
vegetation is becoming established through the blankets. Ditches and drainages throughout the east mine are
