Actions taken to respond to and correct the emergency situation or condition <br /> • At approximately 7:00 am on September 23, 2018, a concentrate thickener sump discharge line <br /> ruptured, spilling approximately 150 gallons of slurry. <br /> • Upon discovery,the pump was shut down and repairs to the sump pump discharge line were made. <br /> • A skid steer was used to over excavate the area impacted by the spill. <br /> • The excavated soil was transferred to the tailings loadout pile. Less than 3 cubic yards of soil was <br /> excavated in the cleanup efforts. Clean gravel was placed in the over excavated area. <br /> b. Any known or adverse impacts to human health,property or the environment <br /> No impacts to human health or the environment were observed or are expected to occur due to the low <br /> quantity spilled,the benign chemical composition of the concentrate, and the swift clean up. <br /> 1 <br />
