EXHIBIT A—Legal Description <br /> The pit originally encompassed a total of approximately 52.9 acres in the dry creek bed of Sandy <br /> Creek running through the N 1/2 Section 31, T7N, R474W of the 6th P.M., Phillips County, <br /> Colorado. This is an amendment to a previously approved 52.9 acre pit and will add 55.1acres, <br /> making a new total of 108.0 acres. Delineator boundary posts will be set to mark the pit areas <br /> as each area is opened up. A 25' foot buffer will be maintained around the entire pit and that <br /> area 200' on each side of an existing 21-22"buried natural gas pipeline will not be disturbed. <br /> Accounting for the 200' buffer on the west and east ends, the 25' buffer around the perimeter not <br /> already buffered,that area that will not be mined within 200 feet either side of the pipeline, and <br /> 130' buffer on the north and east, 31.6 acres will not be mined. The effective disturbed area will <br /> be 76.4 acres. <br /> EXHIBIT B —Index Map <br /> Exhibit B shows a regional location map of the area and a notation of where the entire expanded <br /> area is located and where tract 2 will be expanded.. <br />
