This area is part of Mill-EPF 1.5—Seep Water Collection
and Return System. Enclosed is a technical memorandum and design drawings that describe the basis for
these improvements, the expected outcome and provide the details for construction.
These improvements consist of raising the seep water detention berm approximately two and a half feet,
extending portions of culvert under the road that direct water to the Ute Park Pump Station, raising the gate
operator electronics, and installing new communications cabling for the gate controls. These improvements
will allow for additional storage capacity of the Seep Water Collection and Return System EPF to contain
various hydrologic events or for emergency storage during an upset condition associated with the Ute Park
Pump Station.
Please let me know if you need any additional information to complete your review of this request.
Regards,
Aaron Hilshorst
Chief Environmental Engineer
Henderson Operations
Climax Molybdenum Company
Enc.
