August 29, 2018 C-1980-007/West Elk Mine LDS <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> At the time of the inspection all of the planned reclamation of MVB pads on the E6 panel had been <br />completed, except for E6-14 (which will be left open until mining is complete, as it’s the last hole on the panel) <br />and E6-13 (which couldn’t be reclaimed as the longwall had not mined past it in panel E7), and E6-4 which will be <br />left open for now so it can be used as a staging area. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> A selection of MVB pads on the E5, E6, E7 and E8 panels were inspected. In general the pads were stable <br />and in full compliance, further notes are given below: <br />Reclamation of E5-8 had been completed <br />The spur to E5-12/13 had been reclaimed as far as the draw (where an ATV trail exists) <br />The mud pit on E8-4 had already been filled in. A straw wattle protecting the base of the topsoil pile had <br />slipped and needed to be fixed in place <br />Three more holes remained to be drilled east of E8-4, but the pads had not yet been constructed. <br /> <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED <br />N/A <br />OTHER (SPECIFY) <br />N/A <br /> <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br /> <br />No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending. <br />
