12 September 2018 RAR <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />Contour ditches observed appeared to be functioning adequatel y, no breaches were detected. <br />Constructed drainages observed appeared stable, well armored and in good repair. <br />o Pond 5 no issues noted at time of inspection. <br />o Pond 6 exhibits a soil slump above. The slump appeared stable and does not impact the <br />pond at this time. The pond was discharging to a plunge pool and discharge appeared <br />clear. <br />o Pond 9 was not discharging at the time of inspection. <br />o Pond 15 was viewed at a distance from above. <br />o Pond 16, no issues noted at time of inspection. Drainage wa y into the pond was <br />discharging clear water. The drainage wa y and flume appeared stable and <br />functioning adequately. Numerous brown trout were present in the pond at the <br />time of inspection. <br />o Pond 17 was holding water at the time of inspection. There was a trickle of discharge and <br />the flume is requires stabilization as called out in the maintenance section above <br /> <br />SLIDES and OTHER DAMAGE- Rule 4.12 <br />o Several slides and slumped areas exist around the site. No recent movement was <br />detected at the time of inspection. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL -Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Pr otection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />o Reclamation appeare d stable and vegetation appeared vigorous and <br />well established. <br />o Marked t opsoil piles were noted around the site at time of inspection. <br />Slopes appeared adequate ly vegetated and stable at the time of inspection. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 <br />General Requirements 4.15.1; <br />o Revegetated areas and reclamation showed vigorous growth with well established <br />plants exhibiting a diversity of species. <br />o No extensive areas devoid of vegetation were noted. <br />o No expansive areas of weed infestations were noted. <br />o Three tree plots or shrub plots were visited and numerous others were observed in <br />passing. All plots showed adequate establishment and diversity appeared good. Trees <br />planted in 2014 and 2015 were to be healthy <br />o Among the pits viewed, Pit 1 was visited and is ready for phase III bond release. <br />o Portions of the site appeared heavily grazed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Number of Co mplete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />
