The application was submitted by MINREC, Inc. on March 6, 2018 for the North Thompson Creek Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by the Division in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent. The underground mine is located approximately 10 miles Southwest of Carbondale, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: T8S, R89W; Portions of Sections 21, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34 and 35 T9S, R89W; Portions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 T7S, R88W; Portions of Sections 20, 29, 30 and 32 Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder, 109 8th Street, Suite 200, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601.
