0
September 14, 2018
Page 2
Response: The ground cover from the Danforth reference area is 78.1 %, when
accounting for only first hits. The vegetation cover value of 74.3% (from the Danforth
Sagebrush study area) was included by error and has been removed. The vegetative
cover value of 94.27%, presented on Table 5 (Exhibit 10 Item 6), includes second hits on
layered vegetation. With the correct data inputs, Table 1 in Exhibit 10 Item 6 still
demonstrates successful comparability between the 1984 Danforth Aspen Study Area and
the 2005 Collom Aspen Reference Area. Additionally, summary rows were added to
Table 3 to provide clarification between first hit and all hits for ground cover data.
Finally, the comparison between the Collom and Danforth Reference Areas have been
removed from Exhibit 10 Item 6 to clearly demonstrate the successful comparison
between the Danforth Hills Baseline and the proposed Collom Aspen area.
If you should have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Tony
Tennyson at (970) 824-1232 or ttennysonAtristategt.org.
