It is important to narrow down the issue(s).
As a representative of the Zigan Homeowners Assn. I would like to express concern about the current
operations at this site. It is apparent that they are in the process of re -installing the slurry wall around the
mine.
The installation of slurry walls in this area has been proven to cause ground water mounding resulting in
property damage, as well as the inability to comply with augmentation requirements for the Zigan lakes.
Remediation for the effects of the water mounding have been less than successful. A free flowing pipe from
the Zigan lake to the Platte river flows approx 600 GPM continuously, barely keeping the lake level at non -
damaging levels. The french drain installed by Brannan along Brighton Rd has had no effect on the levels.
Why should Brannan be allowed to firm up a structure that is currently causing such issues for neighboring
properties?
What further remedies to alleviate the ground water mounding they have caused are planned?
There was no notification to neighbors about this operation or notification of a public hearing, inviting
comment or concerns.
Have you contacted the operator or party conducting the operation? If yes, please provide details. *
r Yes r No
If known, please provide the name of the operator or party conducting the operation.
Brannan
If known, please provide the Permit or NOI Number (ie M1970111 or P1970111).
Must be entered in the following format: M1970111 or P1970111 (No dashes allowed)
M1980183
