Notice of Proposed Decision <br />The Colorado Division of Reclama- <br />tion, Mining and Safety has issued a <br />proposed decision to approve Bond <br />Release Application No. 9 (SL -9) for <br />the Keenesburg Strip Mine, Permit <br />No. C-1981-028. The surface op- <br />eration is operated by Coors Energy <br />Company under the provisions of <br />the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond <br />release application was submitted <br />by Coors Energy Company on April <br />21, 2017. Request release of bond <br />and liability for succesful backfilling <br />and grading in Areas 33 and 34 en- <br />compassing approximately 19.38 <br />acres. The amount of reclama- <br />tion bond requested for release is <br />$64,915.39. The proposed release <br />amount is $16,418.87. Grading, <br />topsoiling and seeding of Area 33 <br />occurred in fall of 2015. Area 34 <br />was graded, topsoded and seeded <br />in fall of 2016. <br />Weather permitting, DRMS con- <br />ducts a bond release inspection of <br />the site within thirty (30) days. Oth- <br />erwise, DRMS will contact you to <br />advise you of the Division's required <br />bond release inspection of the site <br />as soon as it has been scheduled. <br />A proposed decision on the applica- <br />tion will be issued within sixty (60) <br />days of DRMS's inspection. The af- <br />fected area is located in Weld Coun- <br />ty, approximately 7 miles North of <br />Keenesburg, Colorado. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are <br />available for review at the Colora- <br />do Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety office, 1313 Sherman <br />Street, Room 215, Denver, Colo- <br />rado 80203, and on the Division's <br />website at hftp://mining.state.co.us/ <br />Re ports/M i n i ng Data/Pages/I maged- <br />DocumentData.aspx. A user's guide <br />for our document imaging system is <br />also available in pdf format at the <br />same web address. <br />Any person who has an interest <br />which is or may be adversely af- <br />fected may request an adjudicatory <br />hearing regarding this proposed de- <br />cision. Requests for a hearing must <br />be made in wnting within thirty (30) <br />days of the first publication of this <br />notice, and shall state with reason- <br />able specificity the reasons for the <br />request and objections to the pro- <br />posed decision. <br />Published in the Fort Lupton Press <br />on September 12 and 9, 2018. <br />#181154 <br />
