There are fewer SWedge simulations within the North and Northwest highwalls with a factor <br /> of safety indicating potential failure. The Northwest highwall only had one simulation result <br /> in a factor of safety below 1.2, indicating that the North highwall is the least prone to wedge <br /> sliding failure. The South highwall is the most prone to small, localized wedge sliding <br /> failures of individual benches, with five simulations indicating potential failure. <br /> All other analyses resulted in a factor of safety above 1.2,which indicates that failure is <br /> unlikely to occur. These analyses did not consider any outside loads (e.g. earthquake or water <br /> pressure loads), which could affect the factor of safety. <br /> Table 7.
