DRMS Permit System Administrative Adjustment of Area Approved to be Disturbed
During the review of the SU application, the Division reviewed the Annual Reclamation Reports for the
Munger Canyon Mine, the number of acres in the DRMS Permit System approved for disturbance for the
Munger Canyon Mine, and the number of acres requested for release by the SU application. This review
determined that an administrative adjustment in the DRMS Permit System, increasing the number of acres
approved to be disturbed from 21.20 acres to 24.87 acres, was necessary so that the number of acres being
released by SU would match the number of acres in the DRMS Permit System that were approved to be
disturbed. This adjustment is designated "AD1" in the DRMS Permit System, and was made on August
30, 2018.
The Division holds a performance bond of $49,121.12 for the Munger Canyon Mine. The current liability
for the site is $44,468.10. The Division proposes to release the full $44,468.10 of reclamation liability,
and return the entire $49,121.12 of bond held.
Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposed decision may
request a formal public hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board in accordance with Rule
3.03.2(6). Public notice of this proposed decision will be published twice in the The Daily Sentinel as
soon as possible. Requests for public hearing must be submitted to the Division in writing within thirty
days of the first publication in the The Daily Sentinel Grand Junction. If no hearing is requested within
those thirty days, the Division's decision will become final.
Permit Number PF.Id Page 10 of 12
