Map Description and Acres. As shown on Exhibit 10-3, the area included in the Seneca II-W
South Extension is covered by several vegetation types that reflect the varied topography,
aspect, exposure pattern of various geologic strata, soils, and some variability of agricultural or
management activities. Six distinguishable vegetation types have been mapped: IAI aspen
forest, (BI mountain brush, IS) sagebrush/snowberry, IWWI Western wheatgrass/alkali
sagebrush, (MDI mesic drainage, and ISMBI steep mountain brush. These six also occur on the
current II-W Mine Permit Area. Data are presented in Table 10-6 for the relative areal extent of
these vegetation types in the proposed extension area. Anticipated disturbance acres for the
extension area vegetation communities are shown on Table 10-7.
