Trapper Mine, Permit No. C1981010
DRMS Review of TR 120 2017 Annual Reclamation Report Review Adequacy #2
Dear Mr. Roberts:
The Division has completed its review of TR 120, the 2017 Annual Reclamation Report for Trapper Mine
submitted as a revision to Appendix W of the permit. The revision was received on 15 March 2018. The
report contains all the information required by Rule 2.04.13(1) and (2). A preliminary adequacy review was
completed by the Division in April 2018 and a response satisfying all adequacy questions was received from
Trapper Mine Inc. in June 2018.
The reclamation summary table; Table 1 Section 1, summarizes all reclamation activities achieved in 2017.
The report indicated that 27.5 acres in the L Pit area comprised new disturbance associated with
stripping in 2017. Backfilled, graded, topsoiled and seeded areas comprised 44.0 acres in Z pit.
Other seeded areas comprise the temporarily seded areas of 12.0 acres in Kimber pit and 5.0 acres in
non pit areas for a total of 17.0 acres.
Bond release inspections for a Phase I (175.3 acres), and Phase 11(376.1 acres), releases took place
29 and 30 August 2018 respectively. No decision has yet been issued due to acreage discrepancies
needed for the cost estimate calculation. Therefore, during 2017, Trapper received no bond release
approvals.
Rule 2.04.13(1:)
The name and address of the permittee is provided.
(a) The location and number of acres disturbed during 2017 are discussed in Section 1.2.1 in
Appendix W. Trapper created 27.5 acres of new disturbance in the L -Pit area. No previously
reclaimed lands were reported to have been disturbed in 2017.
(b) The location and number of acres backfilled and graded during 2017 are discussed in Section
1.2.2 and depicted on Map 1 of Appendix W, the Annual Reclamation Report Map.
