FLAG RESOURCES, INC. SILT PIT M.L.R.B. Permit# M-81-202SG August 22, 2018 BOND REVALUATION AND REDUCTION REQUEST This request is to reevaluate and if appropriate reduce the current bond for the Flag Resources, Inc. - Silt Pit that is currently $468,320. The current bond is coming up for renewal in October and we would like to have this reduction done in time to replace the current bond with a new lower one. The attached Bond calculation information is based on the Divisions last cost summary worksheet dated 8/23/2017. It shows the current volumes of material needing to be moved, and the areas needing some reclamation work. Basically we are keeping the maximum area of disturbance area at 50 acres would need seeding, 40 acres would need resoiling and seeding or which 30 acres would need ripping prior to resoiling. Since the last bond evaluation much of the work along the eastern lake has been complete so some of the tasks outlined for areas in the future lake area have been completed. In particular the bank sloping around the east lake area is complete, topsoil is stored around the slope area and dewatering is not needed at this time. The Tasks taken out of the bond estimate are: 02a Dewatering east lake to allow grading 03a Transport of backf ill material 03b Grading of Slopes The revised tasks are: 05a Transport of half of topsoil - the methodology used to is revised to use 631 Cat scrapers to load, transport and rough spread the topsoil instead of using off road trucks, loaders and dozers. 06a Reveg. all disturbed areas not to be pond - Trees were removed in TR06 so the associ- ated cost to plan was subtracted from the estimate. 07a Initial mobilization - revised to removed resoiling equipment no longer needed due to change in task 05a.
