3. Rule 3.1.5(11) potential pollutants. The BLM Plan of Operations and EA discuss storing gasoline and other
petroleum products in a 4'x 4'x 8'steel locker. Will this locker be leak proof such that it is sufficient for
secondary containment of petroleum products that may spill or leak from their containers?
The tool locker is presently located on the site at a distance of over 100 ft from edge of the Arkansas river. It is
made of a heavy gauge metal and is leak proof. It is adequate to provide secondary containment for any
petroleum products stored inside.
EXHIBIT Dā Reclamation Plan (Rule 6.3.4):
4. Reclamation costs. As stated in Comment 1 above, the mine plan map on page 2 of 2 indicates the affected
area is 54 ft by 90 ft(-- 0.1 acres). The estimated $2,067 appears appropriate for a 0.1-acre disturbance. If the
intent is a larger area, the Division will reassess the reclamation cost accordingly.
See also the response to the first item above. The area of mining activity will not exceed 0.1 acre at any time.
EXHIBIT E ā Map (Rule 6.3.5):
5. As stated in Comment 1 above, the mine plan map on page 2 of 2 indicates the affected area is 54 ft by 90 ft
(-- 0.1 acres). If it is to be 0.5 acres as stated on the application form or 0.6 acres as discussed in the BLM's
EA, please provide an updated appropriate map.
See also the response to the first item above. The area of mining activity will not exceed 0.1 acre at any time.
In addition to the above questions noted in the CDRMS letter dated June 6 (incorrect date-actual date 8/9?)
the following items were discussed on the phone between Joe Lovett and Tim Cazier on 8/11;
6. A structure agreement was sent to the railroad (Rock and Rail)on Aug 16, 2018. A copy of the cover letter,
structure agreement, and certified mail receipt are attached to this e-mail.
7. 1 have revised the first page of the Exhibit E Mine Plan to include the railroad (Rock and Rail)as an adjacent
property owner.
