RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT F(CONT)
TREES
All existing trees in the mining area will be removed prior to
mining beginning. In the areas that will not be mined, attention
will be given to removing and controlling the Russian Olives and
Tamarisk on the permit area . Tree planting is not part of this
plan but the landowners may wish to add trees and shrubs in
selected areas as the mine is reclaimed.
RECLAMATION PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The property will be mined in compliance with the Reclamation
Performance Standards of Rule 6 . Grading will be performed to
create a final topography that is compatible with the intended
final land use . Final external slopes will be graded 3h to lv or
less as provided for in the Rules and Regulations . The swim
beach will be graded 5h: 1y or less as required. The RECLAMATION
PLANMAP shows how the area will be reclaimed.
If needed, inert materials existing onsite in the old Plant Site
Area may be Hauled off and disposed of properly. This material
may consist of broken concrete or other materials left from the
old industrial activities . It will be "Inert Material" as
defined by the Colorado Department of Health. The pit will be
reclaimed so that a suitable grade for drainage exists, all
surface runoff will be directed so it remains on the mine site .
All grading will be done in a manner to control erosion and to
protect areas outside the affected land from slides or other
damage . Backfilling and grading will be completed as soon as
feasible after mining is completed in a given area . All refuse
will be hauled away or disposed of in a manner that will control
unsightliness and protect the drainage system from pollution.
There are no acid-forming or toxic materials involved in this
operation. The minimal amounts of petroleum products to be
stored at the site will be done as prescribed by applicable laws .
The storage tanks will be surrounded by a berm adequate to retain
any fluid, should a tank rupture . In addition, there is adequate
absorbent materials on site to contain any spills that would
occur outside the berms . There are no drill or auger holes on
the land. Maximum slopes will be within the limits set forth in
16 (revised 8/10/2018)
