We have hired Greg Lewicki and <br />Associates to help us with the slide at the Ralston Quarry and some other related items. Greg spoke <br />with Russ Means about moving our hearing to the September 26`" meeting for the following reasons: <br />I . We have hired Ground Engineering a Geotech company to evaluate the slide and surrounding <br />area. They have made three site visits to date and will continue to monitor the site. They are <br />scheduled to drill test holes and will use this information on soils and water to prepare a <br />geotechnical report. We would like the Report to be submitted to the Division prior to the <br />hearing date and this will not be possible if the date is August 22"d <br />2. We plan on submitting an Amendment to the permit to absorb the encroached area, and possibly <br />add some additional area to the mining permit. We would like to have this Amendment draft <br />ready or nearly ready by the time of the September hearing date. <br />3. As previously stated, we would like to have our Geotechnical Report submitted for review prior <br />to the hearing. This could be submitted as a technical revision or be included in the <br />comprehensive information provided with the amendment. We cannot have this ready prior to <br />the August date. <br />4. Both Jeff Keller, our President and Greg Lewicki will be out of state the week of August 20th. <br />We would like both of them to be present at the hearing. <br />We will continue to provide the weekly reports on the activities on site. Please let us know if the <br />postponement is acceptable.
