PERMIT #: M-1987-019
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: SJM
INSPECTION DATE: July 24, 2018
OBSERVATIONS
This was a monitoring inspection of the South Fork Pit; DRMS file No. M-1987-019 operated by Rio Grande
County. This site is located approximately 10 miles west of Del Norte, Colorado in Rio Grande County. I,
Stephanie Mitchell of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety conducted the inspection. Mr.
Patrick Sullivan accompanied me on the inspection.
This is a 9.90 acre 110c mining operation for gravel with a maximum disturbance of 9.90 acres.
The permit boundary was marked with metal posts and a fence along the southern boundary.
The permit sign was in place and all permit boundary markers were in place at the time of inspection.
There was no equipment on site. There was no fuel stored on site. There
appears to be no offsite erosion and no water retention was observed. There were a few material
stockpiles on site. Topsoil is stored along the permit boundaries located, north, south and western sides.
No other problems or violations were noted during this inspection.
The operation appears to be in compliance with the approved mining and reclamation plan.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Stephanie Mitchell at the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand
Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number (970) 242-5025.
