Our office has reviewed the submitted
materials. The project area was surveyed in November 2006 as part of a Class III Cultural
Resource Inventory report. This report identified several historic and prehistoric features as being
eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. However, it does not appear that
any of these resources would be affected by the Haul Road ditch project.
Should unidentified archaeological resources be discovered in the course of the project, work
must be interrupted until the resources have been evaluated in terms of the National Register
eligibility criteria (36 CFR 60.4) in consultation with our office pursuant to 36 CFR 800.13.
Also, should the consulted -upon scope of the work change please contact our office for continued
consultation under 36 CFR 800.
If you have any questions, please contact Joseph Saldibar, Architectural Services Manager, at
(303) 866-3741.
Sincerely,
eve Turner, IA
State His is eservation Officer JUL 41016
OFFICE OF ARCHAEOLOGY
303-866-3392 * Fax 303-866-2711 * E-mail: o
AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION
ahp(u)state.coms * Internet: www.historycolorado.org
