EXHIBIT A
Legal Description
The proposed permit area, known as the Lamb Lakes site, is a tract of land about one mile north
of Fort Collins, Colorado and east of North Taft Hill Road. The proposed permit boundary
includes approximately 128.8 acres.
The proposed Lamb Lakes site is being developed by the North Weld County Water District,
Fort Collins - Loveland Water District, East Larimer County Water District, and the City of
Greeley. The three water districts are also known collectively as the Tri-Districts. This exhibit
separates the proposed Lamb Lakes permit area from the existing permit M-1977-439, Home
Office Mine, operated by Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. Upon approval of the Lamb Lakes
permit, the parcel will be released from the Home Office Mine permit.
According to the Larimer County Assessor's Office, the property parcel(s) are owned by
Western-Mobile Northern Inc. However, the property is currently owned by the City of Greeley
and Tri-Districts. See Exhibit O, Owner(s) of Record of Affected Land (Surface Area) and
Owner(s) of Substance to be Mined for more detail and documentation.
The quarter, quarter section description of the proposed permit area is as follows:
NW'/4 in Section 3, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the 6t' Principle Meridian
Larimer County, Colorado.
Latitude/Longitude of main entrance:
400 36' 39.5" N
1050 06' 35.5" W
Lamb Lakes
DRMS 112 Permit Application Page I
