Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc (“Tri-State”) <br />proposes Phase II and Phase III release on 822.4 and 222.6 acres, respectively, of reclamation <br />where it indicates revegetation in support of the post-mining land use has been completed in <br />accordance with the terms of its approved permit. The Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety (DRMS) found Tri-States’s SL-14 bond release application administratively <br />complete on June 4, 2018. <br /> <br />The parcels proposed for Phase II release lie within Township 3 North, Range 93 West of the 6th <br />PM, including: <br />• Section 3: NW¼ SW¼, NW¼ NE¼, SE¼ SE¼ <br />• Section 4: NW¼ SE¼, N/E¼, SW¼, SE¼ <br />• Section 9: N½ <br />• Section 10: NW¼, S½ <br />• Section 15: N½ <br />• Section 34: SW¼ SE¼ <br /> <br />The parcels proposed for Phase III release lie within Township 3 North, Range 93 West of the 6th <br />PM, including: <br />• Section 3: NW¼ SW¼ <br />• Section 4: NE¼ N½, NE¼ SE¼ <br />• Section 10: NW¼ SE¼, NW¼ NE¼, SW¼ E½, SE¼ S½, NE¼ SW¼ <br />• Section 11: SW¼ SW¼ <br />• Section 15: NW¼ NE¼, NE¼ N½ <br /> <br />Notification of the proposed bond release was posted in the Craig Press for four consecutive <br />weeks, beginning May 4, 2018 and ending May 25, 2018. The subject parcels were reclaimed <br />between 1995 and 2012. The post mining land use is rangeland. Tri-State currently posts a self- <br />bond in the amount of $95,517,829 (SB-010) which covers the entire mine site including the <br />above listed areas. With this application, Tri-State requests the maximum bond release for Phase <br />II, or 25% of the amount held for the subject parcels, and the maximum amount for Phase III, or
