Gunnison Ave, Suite 240 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501-5711 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010) <br /> Technical Revision No. 121 (TR-121) <br /> Stockpile, Coal located in Johnson and/or Pyeatt drainages <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on July 5, 2018 an <br />application to revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining, Inc.. All review and comment <br />periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />Proposed coal stockpile planned location is in the Johnson and/ or Pyeatt drainages. It is expected <br />to contain 300,000 tons of coal. Stripping of 6.5 acres of new disturbance is associated with the <br />proposal. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently <br />approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Township 5 North, Range 90 West <br /> Section 5 All <br /> Portions of Sections 6, 8 and 9 <br /> Township 5 North, Range 91 West <br /> Portions of Sections 1, 4, and 5 <br /> Sections 2 and 3, ALL
