Site Type: Prehistoric Features <br />4. General Component Description: Site is one feature discovery made approximately 20 cm below surface along a <br />proposed culvert for the haul road overpass being constructed over Country Road 51 as part of the Collom Expansion <br />Project. The discovery is being handled per the Cultural Resource Protection Plan developed for cultural resource <br />discoveries during ground disturbing activities associated with the project. The thermal feature remains are stained <br />sediment, charcoal, and five heat altered rock fragments. The feature has been impacted by mechanical top soil <br />stripping, however intact portions of the feature remain. <br />All the material was recorded within the current disturbance area and flagged for avoidance. The horizontal extent of the <br />buried cultrual component is limited to the feature with no additional intact sediments remaining within the disturbance <br />area. <br />5.
