EXHIBIT J
Vegetation Information
See EXHIBIT C for vegetation map.
The cropland is currently used for production of dryland crops consisting of
wheat, pinto beans, sunflowers, or safflower.
The sage and oak brush area is covered mostly in Big Sage. There are several
small patches of Gambel Oak present in this patch and some small prickly pear
cactus. This patch covers most of the Gladel Pulpit Complex soils on the site, as
these soils were never cleared or developed for farmland due to their shallow
nature.
The Dryland Grass is comprised of a mix of Smooth Brome, Crested Wheatgrass,
and Downy Brome. Currently this grass is just being utilized as ground cover and
is fed on by passing deer. If it were to be hayed or grazed it would likely make
0.25-1.0 ton per acre of forage depending largely on rainfall.
10
