EXHIBIT D
Mining Plan
Timeframe
Estimated start of mining is November 1, 2018 depending on weather.
Mining is intended to be an intermittent operation and will commence as need
demands. Affected lands are to be used for less than 180 days per year.
Estimated closure of mine and completion of reclamation is November 1, 2038.
Operations
The top 6-12" of topsoil will be removed and stacked on the Topsoil pile (see
attached map EXHIBIT C). Topsoil pile will be seeded with Dryland Pasture mix to
stabilize the pile until reclamation.
Remaining dirt will be removed and stacked in a separate Overburden pile (see
attached map EXHIBIT C). Overburden is expected to be minimal due to the thin
soils at the site.
The deposit to be mined varies widely in thickness, but appears to be 1-20 feet
thick with a layer of clay lying beneath the deposit. Total excavated area is
expected to be 17 acres. The total permitted area is 20 acres.
The mining and crushing operation is mobile and will not involve any permanent
structures. As mining progresses; equipment, crusher, and product stockpiles will
move. Mining will initiate on the west side of the site and progress toward the
East. If possible, rock will be ripped and pushed into a stockpile. However, we
anticipate that the rock will first have to be blasted. If blasting is required a
blasting contractor will be brought in to drill and blast the site and then rock will
be stockpiled. Gravel will be crushed from stockpile at various times, but will be
dependent on availability of crusher and demand for gravel. Gravel will be
stacked on permitted area and hauled when needed.
4
