The following are special mitigation measures needed for this project.
1. A sediment trap is needed to prevent processed water from running directly into the Arkansas
River. Once the project is completed, this trap will need to be filled in. Muddy water that runs
down the hill slope into the river is not authorized.
2. Vehicular access is restricted to the parking lot provided in section 18. The area to the north and
east of this parking lot is fenced and vehicular access to the testing location is not authorized.*
3. This area is prone to infestations of salt cedar, leafy spurge, and Russian knapweed. The operator
is responsible for the control of these noxious weeds for a period of two years, if they are caused
by this project.
4. The claim area is used by anglers for access to the Arkansas River. Nothing shall be done to
preclude this access.
* The scope of proposed access for this operator includes ATV access via private land and an existing
trail that parallels the topography. No additional construction or upgrades are being proposed.
