Notice of Proposed Decision <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety has issued a proposed decision to ap- <br />prove Bond Release Application No. 4 (SL-4) for <br />the Peabody Sage Creek Mine, Permit No. C- <br />2009-087. The underground operation is operat- <br />ed by Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC under <br />the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Min- <br />ing Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release <br />application was submitted by Peabody Sage <br />Creek Mining, LLC on January 20, 2017. This ap- <br />plication requests Phase III Bond Release of 418 <br />acres of 422 originally requested. This applica- <br />tion includes the bond release blocks (BRB 4) <br />which were a part of the Seneca II Mine permit <br />until the area became part of the Peabody Sage <br />Creek Mine (PSCM) Permit in 2012. The area re- <br />ceived Phase I release under the Seneca II Mine <br />permit. The area is now referred to as BRB <br />PSCM-2. The area received Phase II bond re- <br />lease under the PSCM permit. A Corporate Sure- <br />ty bond in the amount of $3,356,429.28 is current- <br />ZI in place. The Division proposes to release <br />$234,374.51. The affected area is located in <br />Routt County, approximately 9 miles Southeast of <br />Hayden. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available for <br />review at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety office, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and on the <br />Division's website at httol"' ning.state.co.us/Re <br />ports/M ini ngData/Pages/I maged Docu mentData. a <br />sox.
